lol, why not start small and work your way up. He might have had a shot at 40,000....it's a little more plausible at the very least.

14 Trillion? That's ridiculous, he should have known they would catch him. Maybe next time he should try something a little less attention grabbing, you know, like 12 trillion.

You know something, my hat's off to the guy for trying. The IRS commits fraud against so many people that it is about high time someone tried to stick it to them. I think they should give that dude a medal for trying!

Moore's claims, the payout would have exceeded the U.S. national debt. They did not. Moore was indicted today on four counts of submitting false........

Moore's just got his 15 min of fame and now he's one temporary insanitary plea away from walking. No jury in the world would believe that a sane person would expect the feds to cut oh say a 14 trillion dollar check

Well, at least now this guy will have even more time to come up with a better plan to get his fortune. But my guess is he probably should set his sights on more realistic endeavors.

Looks like he received training in Federal Prison.

Back in December 2007, Moore, a 38-year-old Miami resident, walked out of the federal pen in Coleman, Florida after serving a six year sentence on felony money laundering charges as part of a cocaine smuggling ring.

I think that's what criminals do when together in a cage....?

So much for rehabilitation…………

They certainly don't get any smarter...?

The law firm of Reed, Em and Weep have offered to defend 'X-Large' in an attempt to come to an equitable middle ground agreement with the IRS.

You don't read much, do you? Obama is the one spending trillions like a drunken sailor (sorry, drunken sailors) for nothing of any value. Put down the Daily Koz and learn something before you show people how ignorant you are. Again.

Not well, not well.

Currently I'm going door to door convincing elderly widows to re-finance their homes with my special backdoor, ballooning interest-rate loan.

So far, so good.

My thoughts exactly.

Why go to jail for trying to steal $1,000.00 when you can go to jail for trying to steal over $11 trillion?

And now his 15 minutes are over.

wow, you know what sucks about this, we cant send the IRS to jail, or see how they are taxed and that they take a chunk of change from your pay checks and really shows nothing for this besides increased taxes or the the cost of living.

Evidently, the IRS is not run by people. (But, I've suspected this for years.)

You have got to admire his pluck !

lol this will keep the talk shows and gossip magazines going for months...

now how is the judge going to consider this...slap on the wrist and don't waste the court time will any more of these silly pranks.

Or ? Let's see, now if we calculate that $100,000 is worth 2 years imprisonment then that works out at

    say 14,000 years...

This is clearly a case of an error in his deductions. He should just refile an amended 10400000000-A form because he mistakingly deducted his portion of the federal deficit before it was actually all spent. He should be able to deduct the rest next year.

Now there's an angle! The IRS is supressing competition - maybe we can treat them as a monopoly and break them up into groups that compete against each other. Oh, wait.. the government doesn't have to follow the same rules they make us follow... what was I thinking?
