Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Police said the robbers started ransacking the house. Then, the baby in the house made his presence known.

They are very lucky, they could have been murdered or had the kids taken.

Thank goodness there ok except for a bump on the head.

It's ashame now they will not want to help anyone ever again I'm sure.

I must write that for whomever was sleeping in the house... their child must of made them too tired to even hear the child never mind anyone else in the home. Anyone who has dealt with a baby keeping you awake for long periods of time.. and the 2, 4, 6 and so on feedings.. changing diapers.. etc.. would know exactly what the parents had to deal with. It doesn't excuse them at all however, for what went on.

Its obvious to me that people who wouldnt normally be involved in robberies are now commiting these crimes out of desperation.Ive seen a number of stories like this in the past few months.See?Things are getting better every day!

I agree--a regular robber wouldn't have thought for a second about a baby. Not to excuse the robbery, heck, that's appalling, but nonetheless... Desperation is a horrible feeling.

No,absolutely no excuses. They cased the house when they asked for the jumper cables. They were trying to be pros.I hope they get caught before any innocents get hurt and I hope they do some serious time.

Kalas: as I said: not to excuse what they did... they should still pay for their crime. :)
